 Integrity Sustainability Course in Organizations: Where Are We?

The "Integrity Sustainability Course in Organizations: Where Are We?" course was successfully conducted on April 13, 2023, organized by the Human Talent Development Division, Human Resource Department, in collaboration with the UM Integrity Unit. This course covered fundamental concepts related to integrity values, abuse of power, and their connection to issues of corruption in daily life and within organizations. It also addressed preventive measures based on relevant regulations. Participants gained insights through knowledge sharing on integrity-related matters that require attention in the execution of their respective duties and responsibilities. Through this course, participants were also exposed to real cases that have occurred at UM, specifically, and in the country in general, in order to examine and draw lessons from them. Discussions with participants were conducted to identify the root causes or circumstances that often lead to integrity-related issues. The session was conducted by Mdm. Mahfuza Mohd Nasir, CeIO/Assistant Registrar.

Course Objectives:

1) Participants will gain an understanding of the concept of efficient, disciplined, and highly-integrity employees by enhancing the practice of moral values throughout their service at the Universiti Malaya.

2) To educate participants in developing high personal character by instilling trustworthiness and avoiding involvement in misconduct.

3) Sharing real cases that have occurred at UM and in the country as a whole as a learning experience for participants to strengthen positive values in carrying out their duties.
